TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS oF COMPONENTS

Foam

  • Foam: The Seat is made in Moulded foam of 55 density in all models. The Back made of Moulded foam of 55 density is used in models wherever available. Polyurethane foam of 32 or 40 density & 2” thickness is used in models where moulded foam of 55 density is not available.

  • Base:

  • As per the requirement of the client, the base can be provided in:
 Five prong NYLON fibre base (70% Virgin Nylon & 30% Glass Fibre) OR
 Five prong steel base of 14 gauge and powder coating upto 40 microns OR
 Five prong base of Chrome plated steel OR  Five prong base of stainless steel

Fabric:

Normal fabric @Rs.120/- per meter is used in all models.
However the client can opt for any other costlier fabric at a pro rata extra cost.

Gas Lift:

Samhongsa - Korea – meeting the  ANSI / BIFMA requirements

Armrest:

As per the requirement of the client, various options of armrest can be provided.
Adjustable height arms are used in certain models Soft Polyurethane (P.U) Armrests are used in select models.
Metal arms are used in a few models. Hard plastic (PP) arms are used in certain models.

Plywood:

Hot – pressed termite & borer proof plywood of 14 mm thickness is used for the seat and back. ‘T’ – nut technology is used to ensure a longer life of the plywood.

Castors:

Castors can be provided as per the type of flooring of the office:

Regular Twin wheeled castors (70% Virgin Nylon & 30%Glass Fibre) for carpet surface OR

Special Twin wheeled castors (70% Virgin Nylon & 30%Glass Fibre) with polyurethane tread for hard flooring

Seat and Back Covers:

Polypropylene seat & back covers are used in select models. Made by injection moulding. ABS seat & back covers are used in select models. They are made of ABS plastic by injection moulding.

Rubber Binding Solution:

The rubber binding solution used is manufactured by ‘Pidilite’ or ‘Speb 7’. The solution is chloroform and benzene free.

Mechanisms:

Various types of chair mechanisms are available:

Column-Tilt Mechanism CTM):

In a CTM, the seat, and the back tilt on the outer side with the same degree and changes the angle of the seat and the back relative to the floor. The chair pivots at the top of the base post and lifts the knees slightly while the back descends. Such a movement can also be locked at a single position or any position. The tension of the CTM can be adjusted by a knob under the seat (clockwise or anticlockwise) to make the tilting movement hard or soft depending on the body weight.

Push Back Mechanism (PBM)

In a PBM, the seat remains in the same position(the angle of the seat with relation to the floor does not change) whereas the back reclines on the outer side. Such a movement can also be locked at a single position . The tension of the PBM can be adjusted by a knob under the seat (clockwise or anticlockwise) to make the push back  movement hard or soft depending on the body weight.

Syncro-Tilt Mechanism (STM):

In a STM, there is a syncronised movement of the seat and back. i.e. when you lean back, the seat tilts 1 degree for every 2-degree tilt of the back. Such a movement can also be locked at a single position or any position. The tension in the STM can be adjusted by a knob under the seat (clockwise or anticlockwise) to make the syncro movement hard or soft depending on the body weight.

Knee Tilt Mechanism (KTM):

In a KTM, the mechanism allows you to keep the feet flat on the floor while reclining. This is made possible by having the pivotal point for the knee tilt close to the front of the seat, thus preventing the front of the seat from rising while tilting backwards. The knee lift is negligible, but the back and head descend more than in a regular tilt chair. The tilt tension knob under the seat  allows for control of the tilting effort according to the body weight to adjust the tilt tensioning

Revolving Bolt (RB):

In a RB there is only a rotation of seat & back in 360 degrees.
